The Gaby Deek Internet Innovation Award is a yearly inter-university competition organized by the Internet Society Lebanon (ISOC-LB) to recognize the best three undergraduate students’ final-year projects in the general area of the Internet.
Teams of students (1 up to 5) should identify an Internet-related opportunity or problem, formally formulate the problem and its requirements, and next develop a solution, ideally within ISOC’s 2024 action plan:
- Countering internet threats
- Extending encryption
- Guiding constructive Internet policy
- Helping shape Internet legal precedent
- Sharing cutting-edge knowledge
- Securing global routing
- Community Networks
- Infrastructure and Community Development
- Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS)
- Measuring the Internet
- The Internet Way of Networking
- Digital Sovereignty
- Network and Distributed System Security (NDSS) Symposium 2022
- Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite systems
- Sustainable Technical Community
- Sustainable Peering Infrastructure
